Pastry Cook / Morning Baker
Location: Downtown St. Pete
​
This position is part-time on the bakery team with a focus on teacakes, coffee cakes, muffins, fillings and frostings. With the assistance of our full time pastry cook, this role is expected to complete the morning bake for the day, complete a daily list of tasks to prep for the following day(s), and assist with daily lunch break coverage (e.g food running). This role allows for an opportunity to develop one's existing skills as well as, ongoing cross training with the dough team based on interest and performance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
is a passionate, career-focused baker with at least 1 year of previous bakery experience
​
must be able to follow and complete detailed recipe instructions independently, at a reasonably quick pace and is willing to assist where needed throughout the kitchen
​
is comfortable & confident preparing the following:
Pastry Creams, Curds, Italian Meringue, Swiss Meringue Buttercream, Brioche, Sweet & Savory Scones
Cookies, Teacakes & Muffin

SCHEDULE:
Saturday + Sunday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Tuesday + Wednesday 8:00 - 4:00 PM
COMPENSATION:
Starting at $13/hr + tip pool (average $7/hr)

REQUIREMENTS*:

High School Diploma, GED or higher education
-
Food Handler's License preferred

Strong commitment to highest product quality

Ability to lift heavy items, at least 50 lbs on a daily basis

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Stamina: ability to stand for 10 hours at a time

All staff will be assisting on dishwashing and kitchen clean up

Reliable form of transportation to and from downtown St. Pete
